** NOTICE **
from the Georgia Chapter President

In accordance with T.T.O.R.A.'s philosophy of TOTAL MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT, and since I obviously cannot spend my entire life scouring the State of Georgia in search of areas and trails on which to ride, I am requesting that you, the members of T.T.O.R.A., help out by contacting me with any information on trails, etc. If you have any information on trails, parks or private land, contact yotaman at: yesgeek@gmail.com with the location, directions on how to get there, and information whether it is private or public land. Thank You!

  • Rich Mountain WMA

    Don't Let this Happen Again!
  • Anderson Creek
  • Tatum Lead ORV Trail
This trail is off of Hwy 52 also except it is near Fort Mountain State Park. Tatum Lead is easier than the other two and makes for a good 2WD trail in my opinion. It also has loose rock, but nothing as big as Rich Mtn. There are many mud puddles to traverse and some excellent scenary as well. Of course they all have excellent scenary, but here you can take the time to look. The trail dead-ends into the Rock Creek ATV Loop Trail, but I found a section on the ATV trail to be wide enough for vehicles. This trail was a little more difficult than Tatum Lead. It had some mudholes that were deeper and longer than Rich Mtn. It also had some bigger rocks and some spots for minor articulation. This trail ends in an are known as "Big Buck Mountain." I had one hell of a time trying to find an exit. I finally did on Brushytop Rd which led me to Hwy 76/282.

  • River Rock OHV Park
River rock orv park has a central open field that is probably the size of 4-5 football fields big. This is the middle of the entire park, the showers and bathrooms are located here too. There are great places to camp in this field.
Off the perimeter of the field are all the trails in the park, the trails loop around and come back into the main field.
The trails range from mild to extreme with a great mix of both. Most trails are based to being mild, there are mini trails through out each trail that are rated extreme.
The great aspect is that you are never far from camp in this park, walking distance to anything the park can offer. Most of the trails also offer an emergency exit pass to camp when needed.
Recommended vehicles for this park should have some lift and armor to take advantage of the trail network.

  • Coal Creek/Windrock OHV Park
A park with 150 miles of trails that range from easy to extreme. The park is open 365 days a year and 24hrs a day. Located outside a little town that provides excellent places for people to meet and enjoy quality food and relaxation.

The trail network has main access trails going throughout the park for easy transit to your next obstacle. Coal creek is located on a major mountain range which gives the trails plenty of elevation changes.

My first impression of the park is that the trails are well formed. There will plenty of places to explore in coming trips.
